The Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS), joins the good people of Ghana to express its deepest condolence to victims of the gas explosion which occurred on 7th October, 2017 at the atomic Junction in Accra . The country has experienced gas explosion three times in less than a year now. This always comes with lost of precious lives and destruction of properties.
The Ghana National Union of Technical Students charges government to as a matter of urgency, develop and implement clear and strong policies to bring gas explosions and other forms of disasters to an end.
Organizations and agencies that are responsible for ensuring that these deadly events do not occur must ensure that standard procedures and practices are adhered by citizens and gas operators to avoid future occurrences of this sad event.
The Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS) finally charges all Ghanaians to be more responsible in ensuring that the right thing is always done to avoid disasters such as this.
May the souls of those who lost their lives in this sad event rest in perfect peace. The union also wishes all those who are in critical condition as a result of the gas explosion a quick recovery.
