Colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, a year ago I was in this same position, a position where Students had decided that I lead and steer affairs to their favour.
All too soon, I bring my mantle and service to an end and I appreciate the support, prayers, critics, advice etc that came from various angles. It has indeed made me stronger and a better person today.
Ladies and gentlemen, as we speak now, we have just elected new leaders, leaders we will call upon when we need assistance. Leaders who will represent the entire University Students when necessary.
Colleague Students of Koforidua Technical University, finally we have decided. A decision that reflected the choice of the Students.
Permit me to congratulate the President Elect, Raphael Elorm Dzivenu and his entourage for a successful victory in this year’s KTU SRC Elections. The Students want you to work in their favour. They saw those capabilities in you and that is why they gave you their votes. Remember that every action that you take must be in the best interest of the entire Students Body who have given you their power and not in the favour of any political party affiliation.
To the other contestants. I believe we are all winners and we are all leaders. But not all of us can lead and represent at the same time. Better luck they say next time.
To my fellow Students, let us have confidence and trust in these people we have elected into power. Let us give them our maximum support to ensure a better environment for us. They can make us smile only if we support and respect them.
Once again, on behalf of myself as SRC President and my able Executives for the 2017’18 academic year. I congratulate H.E. Raphael Elorm Dzivenu elect and his Executives. We wish you all the best.
