It’s not a secret that all men were blessed with two heads [the first head filled with brains and resting comfortably on their shoulders and the other brainless mushroom shaped head buried deep in their pants].
Sadly, most of the brothers out here are led and directed throughout most of their lives with the latter than the former. Directions and agendas are being diverted and wasted because most brothers are only moving according to the desires of their erection
Truth is, most men are in unhappy relationships/marriages and even careers/jobs because they paid heed to the signals of their erection [surprised?] than the authentic messages from their brains; When you allow yourself to be directed and defined by your erections your life becomes EMPTY.
The book of Judges, chapter sixteen, speaks about the downfall of The Greatest warrior ever lived, called Sampson.
· Judges 16:4-20:
Sometime later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. 5 The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels[a] of silver… 17 so he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite dedicated to God from my mother’s womb. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man… ”19 After putting him to sleep on her lap, she called for someone to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. [c] And his strength left him. 20 Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.”
The brainless mushroom, that Sampson could not control, led him to his downfall. As young men, is time we sit down and ask ourselves that all these numerous sex partners of what benefit is it to us at all? Any accolade to show, or has it helped our spiritual life or maybe has it redefined us as gentlemen? Absolutely No!!!
As a young man, it is your responsibility to be a LEADER in your own right. You are an epitome of strength, wisdom, dignity, inspiration and creativity who must live a life worth emulating. You do not exist to just go about creating loveless sexual relationships for innocent women who are thirsty and are willing to give up anything to be cuddled up with a man.
As Christians, we should also remember that whatever we do, there’s a day that, our Lord has for us to account.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 “Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment”.
As a young man, the best way to motivate yourself to flee from this sexual soul destruction act and strengthening yourself to press on with a chaste is to be self-disciplined and having self-control.
You may also have to focus on having good mental health, more money and utilizing your time properly (seriously, breaking away from pornography, respecting yourself and the opposite sex, using natural family planning, and other aspects of living chastely can save you a lot of time and money.)
Personally my goal as a man includes… Being a Good husband/father, living up to the man my father was or better, being able to look myself in the mirror, having good physical health, mental health, and spiritual health.
Being born a man is an existing responsibility one must not toil with.
Be purposeful, a man of truth and integrity who knows what he is about and stands by his words; not just a random aimless man without a brain or a job who “falls in love” when the weather gets cold!!!
