Background
Over the years, graduates from universities look up to the government and the few opportunities existing in the private sector for job placement. This has resulted in graduate unemployment making it a serious challenge in our nation and the world at large. Research has proven that a greater number of these graduates have brilliant and great dreams, ideas, and plans which can be implemented and lead to job creation when they are mentored and supported.
The Directorate of Research and Innovation in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development (CEID) and the Bussiness Development Unit of Koforidua Technical University presents the 1st “VC’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge”. The challenge, we believe will cause our students to be more creative and will be geared towards problem solving other than looking up to others for solution to issues.
