Just after the verification and vetting of the current aspirants for the 2019/2020 SRC Executives, a lot of student activists, Anti-Corruption Campaigners, social groups and some concern students have either raised written open letters or petitions to the SRC electoral commission and dean of student’s affairs to properly address constitutional breaches and lapses seen in the process
The most recent one which was filed in the high court by three students namely Apedgego Emmanuel, Paul Kelvin, and Issah Mohammed Adnan has successfully gain interlocutory injunction to restrain the S.R.C and other affiliated bodies from organizing and conducting the upcoming SRC elections

MOTION ON NOTICE FOR INTERLOCUTORY INJUNCTION
MOTION 0N NOTICE to be moved by DOLLAH D. BLACKMORE DJABA MENSAH ESQ, OF YAW BARIMAH & CO. counsel for and on behalf of the Plaintiffs (hereinafter referred to as the applicants) praying for an order of interlocutory injunction to restrain the defendant (hereinafter referred to as the respondent) the S.R.C and other affiliated bodies of the respondent from organizing and conducting the upcoming SRC elections upon the grounds as set out in the accompanying affidavit and for such further order(s) as the Honorable court may deem fit
KTUinsider speaking with the SRC President, H.E. Raphael Kobla Elorm Dzivenu, confirmed having received the court order and will like to use this medium to communicate to all students he has to respect the court and has ordered the electoral commission to put the election on hold and all concerns raised will be addressed and solved amicably. He added that students should go on with their normal studies, as the issue is being looked at.
The University Management has also issued a notice for postponement of SRC Election, the notice which was signed by the Registrar, N.A Mensah-Livingstone (Ph.D.) just hours after the court injunction.

The university community is as a result of this informed that the students Representative Council (SRC) Elections scheduled for Wednesday, 17th April 2019 have been Postponed.
This is because some aggrieved students have taken the university and the SRC to court.
