A boy who is in his mid 20’s is in deep waters after being suspected by a retailer at Getfund hostel for stealing her money close to Gh¢5,000.
The suspect is a sales boy who works for a retailer at Getfund hostel popular known as “Auntie Aggie”. The retailer operates within the confinement of the said hostel just opposite the barbering shop which can be located at the extreme left end of the hostel.
“It was the last 2 weeks I realized that my money can’t be found. So since he’s in charge of my sales and monitory affairs, he’s the first person I confronted and he gave me negative responses. And per my checks, I got to realize that, It was too late to believe such lies from him so I reported him to the police” – said the retailer.
Upon further investigation, Deinsider.com came across a friend of the suspect who’s been coming to the shop more times and upon further engagement, the friend told Deinsider.com, he’s been with the suspect since the woman started complaining of her lost money but never believed his friend can cause such harm to her madam.
“I have been with him since and even escorted him on several occasions to buy kinds of stuff, but the truth of the matter is, looking at his capacity, all that he’s been buying (shirts, jeans, etc) of late worth more than the money I know he has in his possession. So after I heard he’s been arrested for theft, I wasn’t surprised at all” – he told Deinsider.com
He is still in the custody of the police, and because he has no one to bail him, the police are preparing his docket for prosecution, added by the suspect’s friend.
