KTU Assumption Of Duty Form For Student On Industrial Attachment – All You Need To Know

The assumption of duty form which you will be tasked to fill will give the liaison office your place of work, your assigned duties, direction to your workplace, organizational details such as region, telephone number, branch, and supervisor, etc.

This form can only be filled when you are reliably convinced you have started working and have stayed on duty for at least a week. Some students get placement and they go online to fill this form and later change work/assigned duty when they get to the organization and it’s not convenient or not acceptable anymore. You have to ensure you stay at the designated workplace for all the periods of attachment before you fill this form.

The liaison office gives students up to a week into their attachment period to filling this form. You will have only one opportunity to fill this form, so take your time, make sure you are satisfied with the organization, and be familiar with the environment so you can give proper direction to the organization.

The most challenging part of this is the direction/location to the organization, we have had students given irrelevant descriptions and you know the Ghanaian way of giving directions,

“from Nungua Barrier to first traffic light in Tema, without taking a turn, you drive straight to the next traffic light without a turn as well, as soon as you bypass the traffic light, you take a left turn, as soon as you turn, the road you take will take you there” – a student giving direction last year.

I will advise that when you are giving direction, please look out for landmarks such as Church buildings, Schools, Banks or popular houses, runabouts you can sight in your descriptions
