Virtual Industrial Attachment Programme (VIRA) which seeks to provide students with practical training on campus. Students gain relevant practical experience as seasoned industrial experts are engaged to facilitate practical training.
This year’s VIRA scheduled to start on Monday 3rd June 2019 with an opening ceremony, as usual, is expected to run for 14 working days excluding Saturdays and Sundays, which will end on the 21st June 2019

Accountancy, Skills to be acquired -using of excel to prepare wages and salaries, cash audit and reporting, use of charts of accounts, preparation of cash flow statement
Purchasing & Supply, skills acquired – updating the inventory control card, re-order and minimum stock levels, computing the worksheet, allocated and unallocated stores systems
Marketing, skills acquired – practicalizing the market concept, telemarketing, market segmentation and role play, reporting systems on micro selling on campus
Computer Science, skills acquired – use if UML tools to dram case and class diagram, vb.net codes to check validation, the concept of the database connection string, website/mobile app design, graphics design and the link between the application and the system.

Conduct and obligations
You will be required to abide by all the regulations for the period of your training
- You will report to work at 8 am and close at 5 pm, you may be asked to report earlier or close late than the normal time by your facilitator
- You have an hour break from 12 pm to 1 pm or anytime given to you by your facilitator
- You will sign a daily attendance book, in an event you can’t report early or come to work, you will have to seek permission from your facilitator
- You will be required to stay on duty hours that requires you
- You may be taken on industrial trips, you shall at all times comport yourself and dress according to the dress code specified by your facilitator,
- The brand of KTU shall be projected at all times you are out on an official visit
Accommodation
There will be no accommodation provided by the university
Fee
Participation fee of One Hundred Seventy Ghana Cedis (170.00Ghc) as registration, stationery, practical and certificate fees
Dress code
You will be required to dress formal, or semi-formal on Fridays or at practical sessions, you will not be allowed to wear casual clothes or clothes that expose vital parts of your body, your hair should be neatly cut and well-kept or styled. Sandals will not be allowed
Certification
All participants at the end shall be awarded a certificate of participation, and best behaved, best dressed, and best participant amount others will be rewarded too

There is no stationery!!!, sake of log book is even sold to us. For me I think the giving of the bottle water must stop because there sharing is been done partially.
