The Koforidua Technical University Students has again voted another beautiful lady as Public Relations Officer for three consecutive times.
The first; Stephanie Yaa Aidoo, second; Alice Frimpong Boateng and now Nichola Appiah
Beauty they say lies in the eyes of the beholder, KTU students have the eye for beauty in selecting a communicator who speaks for SRC
The functions of the office of the Public Relations Office (PRO) in the SRC Constitution chapter four “F”, page 11 has it that;
The Public Relations Officer shall:
- i. Be the Chairperson of the Editorial Committee.
- ii. Endorse all student and SRC publications.
- iii. Be responsible for all SRC publicities.
- iv. In the absence of the Secretary, assumes the powers of the Secretary and perform the duties.
- v. Liaise with anyone who wants to educate students in all respects.
- vi. Keep records on all events of the SRC, and the University.
- vii. Be abreast of all information of the University SRC and general issues.
- viii. Have a copy of records on all publicities of the SRC.
- ix. Perform any other duty assigned to him by the President, Executive Committee and or the General Assembly of the SRC.
- x. Account to the Council within seven (7) working days after an activity had been undertaken and present a copy of the report to the Dean of Students Affairs.
Nichola Appiah is the current KTU SRC PRO elect for the 2019/2020 academic year. She is just 22 years and from a family of four born to Mr and Mrs Appiah, attended Akim Swedru Senior High School
She gains the 2017/2018 admissions into KTU to study HND Marketing. Her beauty crowned her the 2nd runner up for the Miss Akwaaba same year and currently the 1st runner up for Miss FBMS (Faculty of Business and Management Studies).
“I am a very optimistic person because I always look at things in a positive way,” She said
Nichola intends to change the face of SRC when it comes to communication, publications and publicity.
She will also be the Chairperson of the SRC Editorial Committee.
