The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern region, Hon. Isaac Apaw Gyesi has said, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) is a project the public has to support because it will help develop the country.
“Over the past two weeks, we have taken our time to explained all the 17 goals to the people of New Juaben South Municipality to understand it very well and play their role to achieve it”,
Hon. Apaw Gyesi commended President Nana Addo for being elected to lead these crusade across the African Countries.
‘It is the dream of every country to escaped poverty to make its Citizens enjoyed a good standard of living,’ he opened.
‘As MCE for New Juaben South Municipal, I will take no hunger project upon myself to make sure nobody goes hungry in my Municipality.’
He made these known to the media during the final football match between Mile 50 and Effiduase as part of the Sustainable Development Goals Celebrations Day at Freeman’s JHS Methodist School Park – Koforidua.
On his part, the Special Advisor on SDG’s at the Presidency Dr. Eugene Owusu commended the people of Koforidua for taken part of these Sustainable Developed Goals. He added, this project is for everybody and we all have to take part in it.
‘We went to Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and Otomfour Osei Otutu II welcomed us to explained it to him. So I will urge all of us here to do our best to project this initiative,’he said.
