We have received a lot of questions from students of KTU as to whether the announcement by the Management informing students and the general public that due to the ongoing renovation works at the University, the re-opening date, which was initially scheduled for 26th August 2019, has been rescheduled for 6th September, 2019
Students want to know if this affects all students.
In an earlier publication on the University’s website, titled: Schedule of Activities Leading to Re-Opening of 2019/2020 First Semester,
Below is an extract, you can visit the link above for a full schedule of the previous activities
- Reporting (Freshers) 26th August, 2019
- Reporting – Weekend (Freshers) 30th August, 2019
- Reopening – Continuing Students (All Programs) 2nd September, 2019
- Reopening – Continuing Students (Weekend) All Programmes 6th September, 2019
When you look at the previous schedules above, it is clear that the new date 6th September 2019 announced will affect both freshers and continuing students.
The rescheduling of the reopening date is due to the ongoing renovation works at the University as management said, so it will be impossible for any academic work to take place and am not sure you will want to go to school without going for lectures.
With this new announcement, the above schedules will have to be reviewed and we are sure management will come out with a new schedule soon, but all will now report on the 6th September 2019.
Resit Examination date will be communicated later
Ktu needs a strong and effective management team to run its activities for development and transformation.
I hope this thing they are doing, they won’t pile up things to make it difficult for us?
