We Are Victims Of This Harassment Thing

We posted a conversation between Deinsider and a female university student and here are more confession from victims.

I am also a victim of this harassment thing…..

This lecturer started this from 1st year second semester, followed by threat messages and stuff, I didn’t mind him till the middle of the semester too same so I became frustrated, one time he asked me to come to his office to help him do something when I went this man said he wanted to touch my breast to see if I’m wearing bra Eeeeiii..

Hmm so I also thought smart and told him I had a presentation to make the next morning and I left. We agreed we would meet in a hotel room to do it Yh… Lol.

So he started calling the next morning he called Saaa like 5 days continuous when I didn’t answer he sent me a text message that” so won’t u come and mark for me” and wrote a name u won’t be able to use against him.

He saw me on campus yesterday and was calling me again I didn’t even turn to his direction hmm.

So this lecturer hmm. I don’t know what they want in this life – Victim

That feeling when your freedom is curtailed on campus…I almost shun school last semester…All these lectures must be exposed…… – Victim

I have had a lot of these pressures from lecturers and I just overlook it and do my studies
I ignore their calls and reject their offers
I refuse their invitation to their offices as well
So it has helped me a lot from level 100 till now and in my final year now – Victim

Do you know one lecturer followed me to my room the moment he saw me just because he said I was looking beautiful, I said all I can to stop, he insisted, when we got into my room, this lecturer told me he likes romance so I should give him my boob’s, and remove my dress, I had to WhatsApp my hostel mate to help me drive him out, she knocked on the door and pretended she was looking for m so we go to prayers, this man said he will wait, I should go and come, I begged and manage to send him out, that day I thought I was Dreaming,the way I sweat eeeh, like he will chop me free

I have a whole lot of friends who are victims

Some even slept with them

We are really suffering – Victim

This issues between lecturers and students are really taking out of hands
my closest friend too is a victim
Insider can u believe dis old man asked my friend for a BJ in his office…. hmm and wen my friend declined he gave her ic in his course second-year first semester and has given her X dis semester too…. the lectures are really frustrating our life on campus we need help – Victim

But this is sooo disheartening I’m still not done with My project work due to such circumstances. It just feels like the lecturers are the ones running the school with no authority over them. – Victim

I have decided not to continue with BTECH just because of these reasons… You can’t stop them from wanting students but if the laws are working well in the school I don’t think this will be such a great burden on we the student … – Victim

What is onw saying
A lecturer was harassing a friend of mine… She dresses as if she is Jesus mother… But the lecturer made life a living hell for her
Even me i don’t dress anyhow i dress as decently as possible… A lecturer will tell you he wants to touch your boobs and feel the softness… He will say he can fuck you better than your guy and he will give you anything you want… Na if he makes you sit in his car deirr… If you wearing a skirt he will try to put his hands inside it… From level hundred till now the lecturer is still worrying me he failed me and told me it was due to my stubbornness… They always make sure you don’t get evidence for you to use against them too.

God bless you for this caption. Who harrases men when they go around shirtless? Victim shaming and blaming must stop. Women still get harassed when in hijab and floor-length dress. Men ought to do better.

I don’t agree with you. The fact that the ladies don’t dress well doesn’t give them the chance to do dat to our fellow students. Fine u can propose to them but when the person says no,u must respect that. We have some ladies who engage themselves in that for marks so when u are a lecturer and u propose to a lady and she says no,u should know that lady is not in that level and they should respect that.

I have followed the story behind lecturers harassing female students on the campus which is a really true fact. Most especially KTU. Another thing too I want to talk about is, I saw someone saying something about female students dressing on the campus. Whenever there’s an issue against ladies people seem not to take it seriously.

I don’t dress half-naked and I was not taught that way too but I’m also a victim. These lecturers gave me d pluses and d’s both in the second year and third year. But I still think God for seeing me through and I’m very proud of I not giving myself to them. Though I have not gone for graduation yet. I can even remember last semester one asking me to sleep with him before I writes his paper when it was left an hour to enter the exams room. Pls we really need to do something before this gets out of hand

I have a friend who has been disturbed by both teaching assistants and lecturers all together since level 100 and we are in our third year now she has over four papers she has to resit just because she didn’t give in to their requests …. she is always scared to go to class, she reported to one lecturer for help but you know a lecturer will not sell out his colleague all he said was she should just relax …. because some of the girls actually give in to their advances they don’t see why you should say no and they feel it’s an insult to them so they tend to fail you and make your life miserable in school to an extent that they even tell you that when you write the resit they are going to fail you again because you are stubborn.

This girl in question is a Muslim who is always covered from head to toe ….so I totally disagree with those saying it’s the girls who call these for themselves because of their dressing …some lectures are naturally perverted… they don’t care as far as you are a woman you are a victim

Those talking about dressing i don’t even understand them, we all are all in ktu how many people expose them self the type of dressing UG and knust ladys take to class that’s not what we ktu lays take to class koraa but yet still the lecturers keep on harassing we the lady masa if you don’t know what’s going on please keep quiet, you have no idea what people are going through.. because they know they have upper hand on you they will fail you saaaaa if you don’t give in 🤦🏽‍♀

Yh it is true. Though the lecturers disturb but some of we the ladies are responsible for some of the harassment. How can someone who calls herself a real lady dress half-naked? Some ladies dressings are out of way all in the name of fashion. You try talking to them and they’ll insult. And when they are harassed, they come complaining. My ladies should dress well to reduce all these harassments. Thank you.

Besides me, u will never see me dress to lectures exposing some parts or wearing tight things but still a lecturer is still harassing me

Dear insider, i am a Muslim lady and i always cover, i liked this lecture because he was so cool and always advice us… Even though many of my friends advised me not to get too close with him… He even helped me to get a place to do my attachment now i am in trouble because he is asking me to pay back his kindness these things does not always happen because of our dressings sometimes is the lectures attitudes this must stop🤒 in fact we are tired

One TA even asked me to sleep with him so that he will talk to his TA friend to give me A+ 🤒

Hmm, sometimes closeness to the lecturer too is the problem.
By the grace of God, I can easily predict someone by how he behaves, not always though.
Some lecturers eerrhh, u can see the pervert drawn on their face and in how they talk, so I don’t even get close to them, not to even ask for a question.
Since my year in school, have only 3 male lecturers numbers and a lady.

I don’t chat them.
Once in awhile, how are u, am fine.

Looks like I know d one who posted dis… If not derh was a girl in our DBS class with the same issue..just dat we came to do HND again.. N she was still with d man… Dis lecturer asked one of our friends out who was very close to her when we were doing DBS… We tried talking to dem to see d truth in dis dat d lecturer was using her… She took sides with d lecture n damaged d friendship she had with us… In our third yr we found out dat d lecturer was dating a girl in level 200 same department same course..
She has no idea but we can’t tell her cos Shes not talking with us… D funny thing is dis girl d man is dating in level 200 also had a fight with another lady in level 100 cos of dis same lecturer… N dis lecturer came to us to complain abt our friend’s way of dressing n dat he was planning to marry her but he is reconsidering n same lecturer told his friends he won’t marry any lady who he will spend on… He wants someone dat is already well to do n sure not a Ghanaian… Since his ex-wife was Ghanaian n he helps her to get to where she is now n outside with his kid… Sometimes some stds refuse to see d truth naturally… Sometimes too dey r emotionally blackmailed n dey turn death ears to everything cos dey r madly in love it really a pity students really need help… Like my friend

Hmmm, true ooo… I was having a very close female friend in my class that we help each other academically. A lecture got interested in her and this man threatened me to stop walking with her he’ll fail me bcos I do help her in some of her needs. Hmmm so painful

See am also a victim so many times but it all depends on us the ladies our behaviour towards them if they say they like us

Saying no won’t make u go to hell

Ktu lecturers too it too much especially the pastors and the churches on campus the patrons they are worst

My sister forget them kraaaaa they don’t pay your fees that because of them u will stop

I know someone in my class who does that and the lecturers have been coming to her room to visit and all staffs

I remember when I was doing D. B.S there was this good friend of mine, we were in the same hostel so we go for lectures to together. She was Soo foolish to the extend that only God knows, she started dating one of our lecturers, our mates realized it and were talking about her so when I heard it I asked her she denied I don’t know what the lecturer told her cos of that po she didn’t talk to me again because I frowned on what she was doing. She previously told me the lecturer said he is divorced with his wife so his wife and the kid stayed abroad… Hmm and that the lecturer will marry her ….lol we didn’t even finish with the two years, He left her for a first year. And the sad part is he’s wife went there to study. Sowe have lady’s who go there just to give in for them……… What bout the innocent ones??

I just pray that how ktu is renovating the school blocks and hostel, they should renovate the brain s of lecturers to let us be and lecture well

I’ll soon get to work, and most of this disgraceful lecturers and administrators will be in deep shame. Education in Ghana is turning to be a system for butter trading. Money for marks, or either Sex for Mark. Disgusting Leaders 🤨😠😡
