Ekua Mends Bannerman who used the stage name Ekua and represented the Central Region in the prestigious Ghana Most beautiful competition has won the ultimate crown after 13 grueling weeks.
Ekua stiff competition from four other finalists – Enam from the Volta Region, Saah from the Western North, Ayisha from the Upper East and Serwaa from the Ashanti Region.
The event took place over the weekend at the Grand Arena Dome at the Accra International Conference Centre. Ekua walks home with a brand new car, a cash prize of ₵10,000 cedis, a round trip to Dubai courtesy Camel Antiseptic’s ‘Buy and Fly and one year supply of GTP fabric among other souvenirs from sponsors.
The competition is not necessarily a beauty competition but a platform to showcase Ghana’s diverse culture and traditions propagated by the beautiful ladies representing the respective regions of Ghana.
