News reaching deinsderblog is that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has denied access to 753 results of candidates out of the total number of 102,278 candidates sitting for the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Out of these 102,278 candidates, 51,935 were males and 55,488 were females.

According to a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, these students were said to have taken part in examination malpractices.
“The withheld results will be released or cancelled as soon as the Council concludes its investigations,” she said.

Comparing the results of this year to that of last year, there’s a massive improvement. Last year 2018, a total of 2,160 results out of the 133,986 candidates that sat for the WASSCE exam. The West African Examination Council has, therefore, warned candidates to refrain from engaging in fraudulent activities.
“Institutions and organizations are therefore advised to confirm or verify the results presented to them directly from the council.”
