Unknown robbers have attacked twenty-five (25) persons including the bus driver and his conductor travelling from Sehwi Adwoafua to Ahafo at gun points.
Sources say 5 gunmen who laid an ambush in the Sankore Forest reserve fired at the van with registration number AC 760-15.
A passenger who narrated the ordeal says one of the passengers who got shot in the chest was rushed to the Bibiani hospital in a critical condition.
Another female passenger told Ghgossip that the robbers stole 12,000 from her while they sexually molested the other female passengers on board.
“They dragged us down and inserted their hands into our brassieres and panties. One lady was even in her menses but they pulled out her sanitary pad, suspecting she had hidden money in her underwear she lamented.
The district chief executive for the Asunafo south Jon Osei Bonsu confirmed the incident and has assured that more police patrol will be deployed to the road for safety.
