His Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu will be celebrated with a 24-carat solid gold coin in Commemoration with His 70th birthday and 20years reign of Asanteman.
As part of this celebration, the government of Ghana and the Bank of Ghana have issued a combined agreement to issue a coin that will be auctioned to the general public.
The Bank of Ghana has given approval for a commemorative 24-carat gold coin to be issued and exclusively auctioned to the public to acknowledge Otumfuo’s momentous 20 years reign on the Golden Stool and his coming 70th birthday on 6th May 2020.
The Gold will be 100% 24 carats fine gold with a diameter of 37.00 mm and a weight of 31.104 g.
Proceeds of the issue will go towards the establishment of the Cultural Resource Center to promote activities related to Traditional and Customary Conflict Resolution in Ghana.
