Founder and President of the indigenous Ghanaian Angel Group of Companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng wrapped up the year 2019 with another prestigious award to his stockpile of trophies and plaques.
He was decorated as the Giant of Africa at the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honors at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in accra on December 29, 2019.
The Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours Award was organised by the Pan-African Heroes Foundation’ (PAHF) in partnership with the Rectitude International Mission (RIM) and Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce and Administration (BORGCA).
This year’s event represented the first edition of the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours Award which rewarded successful men and women who have had significant impacts and distinguished themselves in society.
Earlier in December, Dr Kwaku Oteng received the prestigious International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality 2019 in Vienna, Austria.
The business mogul and other awardees drawn from across the globe were decorated by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) at its 2019 convention at the hotel Parkhotel Schönbrunn in Vienna (Austria), on Monday, December 9, 2019, “in recognition of their superior development efforts, overall excellence and commitment to economic progress, both for themselves and their communities as a whole”.
The awardees were selected from a wide range of private and public sectors, which strive for excellence and have proven their capabilities through their accomplishments, will renew their commitment to excellence and get new ideas on quality management.
This added to the cache of international trophies won by the businessman and philanthropist; in April 2019, Dr Kwaku Oteng was awarded by the Europe Business Assembly (EBA), with a Socrates Award of Luxury, Oxford UK, which included a certificate and a plaque, for his influence and immense contribution in the business industry both in Ghana and the world at large; he was recognised for his outstanding performance under the Economics and Business category.
He has investments in various sectors of the Ghanaian economy and is the owner of a number of thriving businesses in Ghana including; Angel Herbal Industries, Adonko Company Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, Angel Educational Complex, Angel Transport Limited and Royal Angel Mining Company.
At the presidential globe African heroes honors, among the 50 people who were honoured at the event were the Best Regional Minister, Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah, the Best Sector Minister, Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto (MP), former Black Stars Captain, Mr Stephen Appiah for his style of leadership as the Black Stars Captain that made the team to attain great historic heights in the annals of Ghanaian football.
Others were the Auditor General, Mr Daniel Yaw Domelevor for his fervent effort at fighting corruption in Ghana’s economy and protecting the public purse.
