The challenges with the SIP password reset has been resolved. The problem was a result of some individual students clicking on the password reset button multiple times within a short space of time without checking their email for the password reset click for activation.
These actions of individual students created email spamming on our reply email address for password resets. Consistently, blocked by Amazon Web Services (AWS) our hosting services provider.
In other to prevent this occurrence from happening again, the password reset link has been taken off the SIP login page for students, Lecturers and other OSIS users can still reset their password with the OSIS password reset link on the login page.
Students will have to request for the SIP password reset link into the institutional email from the ICT Support Team by calling Support Line 0342293596 during working hours or send an email to support@ktu.edu.gh for assistance.
Note: Only KTU emails can be used to access the SIP portal, therefore students can use the contacts above to request support in activating their emails.
