The National Teaching Council says Ghana Education Service after May 7, 2021, will dismiss all qualified teachers who were employed after August 31, 2018, but refused to register for the NTC license before the deadline.
The Council in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh indicated the licensing and registration of the qualified teachers of the Education Service has currently commenced at Teacher portal Ghana https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh/.
According to NTC, only teachers who had sat and passed the Ghana teacher licensure examination and were employed after August 31, 2018, qualifies to participate in the ongoing license and registration number exercise.
“It is to note that teachers who were employed after 31st August 2018 are required to pass the teacher licensure to merit the license and registration number. Thus the provisional NTC License shall be replaced with a full license during the exercises,” the National Teaching Council stated.
The Council added that “It further noted that all qualified teachers who fail to avail themselves for the registration and licensing exercise at the https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh/ shall lose their right to practice as teachers in Ghana.”
