The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed the various Directors of Education to grant the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) access to some basic school facilities to enable them to train field Officers for upcoming enumeration exercise.
A letter signed by the Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh indicates that as part of the preparation for the 2021 Population and Housing Census, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) will be training Field Personnel from Monday, 31″ May to Wednesday, June 2021.
The Ghana Education Service has therefore directed all Regional Directors of Education to inform Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to grant the Ghana Statistical Service Officials access to some Basic Schools facilities to enable them to train field personnel for the 2021 Population and Housing Census.
The GES has also instructed Heads of selected Basic Schools within the respective Districts to adhere to the above directive.
