Kwawukume Sandra Bubune (KSB) a second-year marketing student has launched a ”health first” initiative on the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) campus. The initiative is to educate students on knowing their blood group, health status and seeking medical attention.
The initiative which is in collaboration with students from the Faculty of Health and Allied Science (FHAS) of KTU is to cover over 5000 students in two months and repeated every semester.
In an exclusive interview with Miss KSB the brain behind the initiative. she reiterated that in addition to basic health screening (blood group checking, malaria etc) that the initiative will cover, there will also be health and hygienic education to students. She added that the team will move from hostels to hostels until all the known hostels are covered. As at the time of the interview the team were at
