A female student of Nsutem Senior High School in Fanteakwa South district in the Eastern region has reportedly been st.a.bbed to death.
According to reports, SHS 2 female student was k!lled by her boyfriend over alleged cheating.
The report says her boyfriend who is a barber identified as Emeka who has been taking care of her through school and has spent on her k!lled her after suspecting her of cheating.
According to reports, he used his shaving cord to strangle the girl and hit her head with padlocks until she passed on.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, June 3rd, 2023.
The suspect has taken to his heels after committing the crime. The police have commenced an investigation into the incident and mounted a search for the suspect.
The Unfolding of the Incident:
According to reports, Abigail Asare left school for the mid-term break and visited her boyfriend, Emeka, who is said to be of Togolese origin. Minutes later, Emeka abruptly left the shop they were in, leaving Abigail behind. It was during this time that a customer entered the shop and discovered Abigail’s lifeless body on the floor, with blood-soaked wounds from a knife.
Police Response and Investigation:
Upon being alerted, the Akyem-Nsutem police quickly arrived at the scene and subsequently informed the Kyebi police. The Kyebi Divisional Police Command promptly dispatched officers to investigate the incident. The police have since transported Abigail’s lifeless body to the Kyebi Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy, in order to aid in the ongoing investigations.
The Suspect’s Whereabouts:
Following the incident, the suspect, Emeka, is reported to have fled the community. Attempts to locate him at his residence have been unsuccessful thus far. The authorities continue their efforts to apprehend him for questioning and to gather more information about the circumstances that led to the tragic event.
Uncertainty Surrounding the Incident:
At this stage, the specific events that unfolded between Abigail and Emeka inside the shop remain unclear. The motive behind the alleged stabbing is yet to be determined. The ongoing investigations aim to shed light on the series of events leading to the loss of Abigail’s life.
