Akosombo Dam Spillages Which Intends To Wash Away Some Part Of Volta Region to the Greater Accra Region Must Be Investigated By Parliamentary Enquirer And Vra Must Compensate All The Affected Victims
The flood which occurred in the year 1963 didn’t caused a serious havoc at the time.
The current Akosombo dam spillage which caused serious damage must be investigated by a parliamentary enquirer for more understanding into the disaster cause by man for negligence.
President Akufo Addo recent visit and his comment showed clearly that Npp government have different agenda towards those people.
This deserter isn’t caused by the people but rather the state is responsible for it, the speaker of parliament and the minority group must not sleep over this issue.
I am not writing because l am from that area but l am writing because time are hard and you can’t subject the people to additional suffering, where schools, hospitals, market and houses are closed due the spillage!
In 2019 -2020 Covid-19 was treated as national issues and most funds were allotted to fought the disease and provide for Ghanaians during the lockdown, we waiting or is the president waiting to experience another disease outbreak in the region before taking serious measures!
The president must declare some part of greater Accra region ( Shia osudoku constituency) to Volta region state of emergency for external support to provide for the affected victims.
The national democratic congress (NDC) has showed their commitment towards the people sending relief items to the affected communities, we understand NADMO is overwhelmed so the government must act now.
We also call on NGOs, companies to support our people.
